Overview
Registering with PLEXCONCIL (The Plastics Export Promotion Council) is an essential step for expanding your export business if you manufacture or export plastic products in India. PLEXCONCIL, established by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, promotes the export of plastic goods worldwide and assists exporters by offering incentives, trade opportunities, and policy recommendations.
Obtaining a Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) from PLEXCONCIL is mandatory for plastic exporters to receive benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP). It enables participation in export programs, international trade fairs, claiming duty benefits, and ensures DGFT compliance.
PLEXCONCIL offers a fully online registration process. Applicants must submit important documents such as IEC, proof of company registration, GST details, and product lists. The RCMC, valid for five years, is issued after verification, helping plastic exporters access new markets, industry insights, and government support.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible Applicants
- Any manufacturer or merchant of plastic and allied products.
- Products eligible for membership include: FRP/Composites, Plastic Pipes & Fittings, Plastic Raw Materials, Human Hair & Related Products, Writing Instruments & Stationery, Packaging Items (Flexible, Rigid), Medical Items of Plastics, Plastic Films and Sheets, Consumer & Housewares Products, Cordage, Fishnets & Monofilament, Floor Coverings, Leather cloth & Lamina, FIBC, Woven Sacks, Woven Fabrics, Tarpaulin, Miscellaneous plastic products.
