Overview
The Coffee Board of India, established under the Coffee Act of 1942, operates under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to promote the production and export of Indian coffee.
One of its key functions is to issue the Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) to coffee exporters, enabling them to access various benefits, including export permits and certificates of origin.
To obtain the RCMC, exporters must submit an application through the Coffee Board’s online portal, providing necessary details and supporting documents. Required documents include the Import Export Code Certificate, GST certificate, Certificate of Incorporation (for private limited companies), and others.
The Coffee Board acts as an export-promotion agency for Indian coffee, supporting domestic market development and enhancing production quality to facilitate global exports.
