Federation of Indian Export Organisations – Membership & Certification
Overview
The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) is an organization that represents the interests of India's export community. FIEO’s aim is to promote and develop India's international trade, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
FIEO provides a range of services to its registered member exporters, including market research, export documentation, trade fair participation, and export finance assistance.
A company registered with FIEO is recognized as an exporter of goods and services. Registration also provides access to benefits and resources to expand export operations.
Objectives
- Promote and develop India's international trade
- Support MSMEs in expanding their global presence
- Provide export-related services and market access
Eligibility Criteria
Exporter/Merchant
- Must have an import-export business in India
- Must hold a valid IEC Certificate issued by DGFT
Primary Line of Business Declaration
- Applicant must declare main line of business
- If products fall outside any board’s scope, FIEO grants the export promotion responsibility
Consent from FIEO
- Applicant must secure permission from relevant board or FIEO officials
- FIEO provides permission where no specific board exists
License Types
- Ordinary Membership – Entry-level membership for small and new exporters/importers
- Associate Membership – For large exporters/importers or long-standing members

IEC Code Certificate
Letter of authority on organization’s letterhead
MSME/SSI/IEM Certificate
Self-certificate for export houses (one star to five star, or state export house)
Bank Statement of the applicant
Copy of MoA & AoA (for companies)
Partnership Deed (for partnerships)
Self-attested IEC Certificate issued by DGFT
Duly filled application for RCMC
Declaration of exports/imports for the previous financial year
