Sector-Specific Grants for Startups

Biotech, defence, agriculture, space, electronics and semiconductors, quantum, textiles, mining and fintech — the domain-tied grants and funds, with their quantum, department and paperwork.

The biggest government cheques for startups are tied to a domain: ₹50 lakh from BIRAC for a biotech proof of concept, ₹1.5 crore from iDEX for a defence prototype, ₹1 crore from IN-SPACe for a space product, up to ₹25 crore under ADITI or AgriSURE. Most are call-based, several route through an incubator, and each has its own idea of what a startup is. The twenty-three schemes below were live or running recurring calls on 4 September 2026.
