How the figure is worked out
Basic Investment Promotion Assistance is 40% of the eligible fixed capital investment up to ₹50 crore, tapering to 10% as the project grows, and capped at ₹200 crore from ₹2,000 crore of investment. It is paid in 7 equal yearly instalments, and each year's instalment is multiplied by the multiples below.
| Multiple | Rule | Yours |
|---|---|---|
| Sector | From the sector table: 1.5 for agri, dairy and food processing; 1.3 for active pharmaceutical ingredients, medical devices, and — above ₹75 crore and ₹125 crore respectively — high value-add manufacturing and electric vehicles; 1 otherwise. | 1× |
| Gross supply (first year) | 1 when this year's production is at least 40% of installed capacity; below that, reduced in proportion. | 1× |
| Export | 1 below 25% of production exported, 1.3 above 75%, in a straight line between. | 1× |
| Employment | 1 below 100 employees, 1.5 above 2,500, in a straight line between. | 1.01× |
| Foreign direct investment | 1 below 26% foreign equity, 1.1 to 1.2 from 26% to 51%, 1.2 above. | 1× |
| Priority block | 1.3 for a unit in a notified priority block (cement units stay at 1). | 1× |
Before you rely on this estimate
- • It is a first-year estimate. The total assumes the same production, exports, employees and foreign investment in all 7 years; from the second year the gross supply test changes, and every multiple is worked out again on that year's figures.
- • The policy is for Large Scale units — those not classified as micro, small or medium. A unit that is a micro, small or medium enterprise falls under the Madhya Pradesh MSME Development Policy 2025 instead, with its own rates.
- • 70% of the workforce must be domiciled in Madhya Pradesh, and where another State department policy also applies, the unit must choose one.
- • Sector packages (power tariff, mandi fee, training and others) are paid on top and are not in this figure.
