SEPC RCMC Details
Overview
The Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) is an apex trade body established by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004–09 to promote and support the export of services from India.
SEPC acts as a bridge between the Indian service industry and the government, playing a key role in policy advocacy, export promotion, and global representation across sectors such as legal, accounting, education, healthcare, IT & ITES, tourism & hospitality, logistics, media & entertainment, environmental services, and consultancy.
SEPC issues the Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) to service exporters, which is a mandatory requirement to claim benefits under schemes like the Services Exports from India Scheme (SEIS).
The Council facilitates Indian service providers in expanding their global reach by organizing international exhibitions, buyer–seller meets, trade delegations, seminars, and capacity-building programs, and provides documentation support, market intelligence, and research to ease compliance.
