Overview
Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is an autonomous society established in 1991 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It operates under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, with the core mission to promote software exports from India.
STPI supports the IT and ITeS industry by providing infrastructure, statutory services, and enabling policies. It encourages startups, fosters innovation, and facilitates Research & Development in cutting-edge technologies.

- Encourage startups and entrepreneurship in the software and electronics sector.
- Facilitate R&D and innovation in emerging technology domains.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible Entities
- Any entity (proprietorship, partnership, LLP, private limited, etc.) engaged in software development or IT-enabled services
- IT startups, SaaS companies, data analytics firms, AI/ML solution providers, gaming and fintech companies, and export-oriented software consultancies
Conditions
- Operate from custom-bonded premises (as per EOU norms)
- Seek benefits under STPI Scheme such as duty-free imports and Softex certification
- Comply with Foreign Trade Policy provisions

- Certificate of Incorporation & MOA/AOA
- Partnership deed (if applicable)
- PAN Card of the entity
- Board resolution authorizing STPI application
- List of Directors/Partners with KYC
Financial & Operational Documents
- Project Report / Business Plan (nature of software exports, cost, employment, foreign exchange earnings)
- ITR / Net worth certificate of promoters (if required)
Infrastructure Details
- Lease deed / Rent Agreement for premises
- Building plan / layout of the premises
- Undertaking for bonded warehouse compliance
Other Requirements
- Softex declaration format
- Application Form (Annexure-I)
- Processing fee (non-refundable)
