GJEPC Registration

Overview

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is a leading organization established in 1966 under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India to promote and facilitate the export of India's gem and jewellery products.

GJEPC is a non-profit body supported by membership fees and industry contributions, offering members services like market research, product-registration assistance, regulatory support, and participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions.

With over 7,500 members—including manufacturers, exporters, and traders—GJEPC provides training, research support, and networking opportunities to help Indian businesses connect with global buyers and strengthen their competitiveness.

GJEPC registration (RCMC) is a mandatory certificate valid for 5 years that jewellery exporters and importers must obtain, with annual membership fees due on April 30 each year.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicable For

  • Manufacturer-exporters of gem and jewellery products
  • Merchant-exporters and traders of gem and jewellery products

Documents Required

Manufacturer Exporter

  • Duly filled Application Form for Associate Membership, RCMC Application Form and Challan Form signed by Proprietor/Partner/Director
  • Signature Slip signed by Proprietor/Partner/Director and attested by bank
  • Self-attested copy of IEC issued by DGFT
  • Self-attested copy of PAN
  • Partnership Deed (for partnership firms)
  • MoA & AoA (for companies)
  • Self-attested copy of MSME (UAN)/SSI/IM Certificate (if applicable)
  • Self-attested copy of GST Certificate (unless Micro Associate Membership)
  • Self-attested copy of personal PAN, passport and Aadhaar of Proprietor/Partner/Director

Merchant Exporter

  • All documents required for Manufacturer Exporter
  • Chartered Accountant’s certificate verifying export or domestic turnover for the last two financial years
