CAPEXIL Registration

Overview

Capexil Certificate is registered under the Chemical & Allied Export Promotion Council, a unit of the Ministry of Commerce that promotes the export of chemical-based products. CAPEXIL aims to boost the export of chemical & allied products internationally while providing the best available assistance to the chemical & allied products exporters.

It is a government body that helps in sourcing the needs of an importer anywhere in the world and trading the needs of Indian exporters.

The Chemical industry in India is highly diversified, covering more than 80,000 chemical & allied commercial products. It is broadly classified into Bulk chemicals, Specialty chemicals, Agrochemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers & Fertilizers. India is a dominant global dye supplier, accounting for approximately 16% of global dyestuff and dye-intermediate production. CAPEXIL plays an important role in guiding and growing the chemical export business.

CAPEXIL stands for Chemical & Allied Export Promotion Council. It was established under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India to support and regulate chemical exports.

The primary mission of CAPEXIL is to promote the chemical and allied industries and to encourage the export of chemical products by supporting exporters through various schemes and initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Membership Categories

  • Associate member: Applicants having an Import–Export Code (IEC) from DGFT can become associate members of CAPEXIL.
  • Ordinary member: Must have been an associate member for at least 3 years and have export performance of at least ₹10 lakh (small scale) or ₹25 lakh (large scale).

Documents Required

1.Import–Export Code (IEC)
2.Permanent Account Number (PAN)
3.Industrial License or Manufacturing License
4.Self-declaration that the firm is not blacklisted by any government department
5.Chartered Accountant’s certificate mentioning export or domestic turnover for the last 2 years
6.Copy of cancelled cheque with bank name and account number
7.GST registration certificate
